19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a difficult year, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the past month - peaking in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's first trophy since the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has won 21 victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is really nice," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
The player's retrieving play style and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted observers to doubt if his capacity to perform at the elite level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his first tour victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He rescued four initial chances in a tight final set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
